AMMAN — Saraya Aqaba Waterpark
officially opened to the public this past weekend, according to a statement
from the park.
The park is the largest in
Jordan and spans over 28,500sq.m.
with over 25 rides, slides, and experiences inspired by the Kingdom’s landmarks,
in addition to family-friendly eateries, the statement added.

Some of the park’s rides sport names like Pella Plunge and
the Dead Sea Drop —a vertical drop that plummets 12m down.
During the opening ceremony, general manager of
Saraya Aqaba Waterpark, Chris Van Der Merwe said: “Following months of earnest
preparation it fills me with an immense amount of pride to see the doors of
Saraya Aqaba Waterpark finally open to the public.”
The park will also feature Rose City Diner, the
waterpark’s main dining outlet, as well as Al-Siq Souk, where guests can
purchase items for the pool.
According to the park’s website, tickets for adults are JD35
for a day, while children’s tickets are JD30. Visitors can also purchase a
season pass for JD100.
