According to a statement from the CRA on Sunday, Sarhan expressed the Authority's readiness to provide all the necessary facilitation to ensure the success of the experiment initiated by "Starlink" recently. This experiment will continue for about three months, as the Authority acknowledges the importance of these trials and their impact on the future of satellite services in Jordan, specifically, and in the region in general. This comes in conjunction with the company's preparations to officially launch its commercial services within the Kingdom.

Representatives of "Starlink" mentioned that similar trials were conducted in two other countries around the world, with this being the third experiment. Jordan was selected to conduct these trials within Asia due to its strategic geographical location, in addition to the availability of technical and regulatory expertise that will enhance the success of the trials and help achieve the desired objectives.

It is noteworthy that "Starlink" began conducting technical trials in Jordan last week in collaboration with the Communications Regulatory Authority and in partnership with the Private Communications Authority. These trials include continuous monitoring of the satellite signals used by the company, studying their impact on other satellite networks, measuring and monitoring the radio signal levels of satellite networks, evaluating the efficiency and quality of services provided, and studying the environmental radio effects of operating the "Starlink" network in Jordan specifically and the region in general.

This trial will lead to re-adjusting the satellites and the radio signals emitted from them to achieve better ground coverage. It will also enhance the internet service speed provided by Starlink to more than five times the current available speeds and increase the number of users to eight times the current capacity.

"Starlink" is expected to begin providing commercial services in the Kingdom by April next year.
