AMMAN —
Saudi Arabia has informed Jordan of updated regulations for transporting goods
in trucks and transporting passengers by bus and cab, Khaberni reported.

The new
regulations, issued by Saudi Arabia’s public transport authority, stipulate
that the vehicle lifespan of trucks transiting in its lands and used for cargo
transportation activities must be 27 years from the year of manufacture.
In order to enter
Saudi Arabia, the vehicle lifespan of cabs must not exceed five years from
their year of manufacture, while the lifespan of buses must not exceed 10
years.
The new regulations will be enforced for all trucks, buses,
and foreign taxi cabs entering or transiting through Saudi territory starting
from February 1, 2023.
