AMMAN — Jordan is projected to undergo a subtle
increase inits temperature pattern on Thursday, surpassing the usual climatic norms for
this period of the year. The current conditions indicate a relative rise in
thermal levels across most of the country.

Moving to Friday, the
Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) anticipates a gradual influence of
dry and hot air mass originating from the Arabian Peninsula, the Jordan News
Agency, Petra reported. This is predicted to lead to a slight temperature
increase, resulting in hot weather prevailing across the majority of Jordan.
Badia,
Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba are set to witness a significant
intensification in temperature. The forecast also suggests the possibility of high-altitude
cloud cover and intermittent,
moderate winds mainly shifting between
northeasterly and northwesterly directions.
As the weekend draws to a close, hot and dry air mass is

poised to experience a gradual rise in temperatures, reaching levels
approximately 8 to 9 degrees Celsius above the typical seasonal averages for
this period. This temperature surge is likely to translate into hot conditions
in high mountainous areas, while other regions are projected to encounter
exceptionally high temperatures.
Looking ahead to Sunday, the
weather pattern is forecasted
to maintain scorching temperatures in high mountainous regions and exceedingly
high temperatures in other areas.
Thursday’s peak temperatures are expected to range between
33 and 35
degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the
Kingdom, with nighttime lows of around 22C or even 20C in the southern
highlands. The Gulf city of Aqaba will experience scorching weather, with highs
of 42C and lows of 29C.
