Second Jordanian Field Hospital in Gaza begins operations

GAZA – The Jordanian Field Hospital 2, located in the southern Gaza Strip in the city of Khan Yunis, started receiving patients on Monday, according to the hospital's medical director, Dr. Mohammad Jumaa. Dr. Jumaa stated to Al-Mamlaka TV that the hospital will commence its operations with its entire medical teams and surgical specialties, including general surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, orthopedics, and internal medicine. Other sections include the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to receive children and difficult cases from the neonatal department. He emphasized that the neonatal department is ready to provide services for neonatal injuries that may require surgical intervention, whether from war injuries or burn cases. The Jordanian Field Hospital 2 is the first field hospital to enter the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on October 7th. Captain Dr. Omar Al-Maaytah, a pediatrician and neonatologist at the Jordanian Field Hospital 2, explained that 41 incubators equipped with artificial respiratory devices, intermediate respiratory devices, and necessary treatments for the neonatal department were approved. Other sections include the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to receive children and difficult cases from the neonatal department.
