The Public Security Directorate has revealed the circumstances surrounding a video that circulated on social media and some news outlets, which claimed that a person was assaulted by masked individuals in the Wadi al-Hajar area in Zarqa.

The directorate explained that a joint investigative team from the Zarqa Police Directorate and the Criminal Investigation Department conducted an inquiry into the case, interviewed witnesses, and reviewed surveillance camera footage.
After investigation and the arrest of those involved, the team discovered that the incident was fabricated. The individual who claimed to have been assaulted had previously coordinated with the people seen in the video to stage the assault and film it, with the intention of using it to resolve a family dispute.
The statement further mentioned that all participants in the staged assault were apprehended, and they admitted to planning the incident in advance. Legal action has been taken against them, and all involved parties will be referred to the appropriate judicial authorities.
