AMMAN — The media spokesperson for the Public Security
Directorate (PSD) said that a special Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) security
force managed to arrest one of the most dangerous drug dealers in the northern
region early on Tuesday morning in Anjara, Ajloun Governorate, Jo24 reported.

The security
officers managed to intercept the wanted man by determining the locationof the
man’s alleged drug selling operations, the spokesperson explained.
Over the course
of several weeks, an intensive effort was made by a special investigative AND
team to collect information about the wanted person, who is classified as armed
and “very dangerous”.
The dealer is
wanted on 20 counts including drug trafficking, robbery, intimidation, and
resisting security officers, the spokesperson added.
The drug dealer
resisted by force when efforts were made to control and arrest him upon his
arrival at the location, and a quantity of crystal methamphetamine in his
possession was seized, the spokesperson noted.
Investigations are
underway in preparation for referring him to the entities by which he is
wanted.
