In a statement issued on Saturday, the
Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that
security forces in the various governorates of the Kingdom ensure the security
and protection of citizens, and freedom of movement on all roads.
It also stressed that any attempt to attack public
or private property will be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the
law.
The PSD statement thanked all citizens who
cooperated with and lent support to the security forces endeavors in the
various governorates of the Kingdom, adding that the right to peaceful
expression may be exercised as long as it does not infringe the law.
Meanwhile, vigils and road closures with burning
tires continue in several areas of Jordan as an expression of rejection of the
recent government decision to raise the prices of oil derivatives.
