Amman – The Financial and Economic Committee in the Senate, chaired by Senator Dr. Rajai Al-Mashar, discussed today, Thursday, with Minister of Finance Dr. Abdul Hakim Al-Shibli, the government's public financial policy.

Al-Mashar stated that the meeting aimed to review the government's financial policy and its alignment with the Royal Instructions, in addition to discussing the progress of the Economic Modernization Program and explaining the progress of periodic reviews with the International Monetary Fund and the Economic Reform Program.
For his part, the Minister of Finance emphasized that the current financial policy is part of the approach of previous governments and the Royal Instructions, aiming to achieve financial stability, growth, and control public debt. He clarified that efforts are ongoing to achieve the targeted financial reform as outlined in the Economic Modernization Vision and the Economic Reform Program.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance, Salem Al-Qudah, the Director-General of Income and Sales Tax, Hossam Abu Ali, the Director-General of the General Budget Department, Majdi Al-Shraiki, the Director-General of the Government Procurement Department, Hanadi Al-Nabulsi, the Director-General of the Department of Lands, Ahmad Al-Amoush, and the Acting Director-General of the General Customs Department, Ahmad Al-Akaleek.
