A Lebanese security source stated that "residents of the towns of Kfarkila and Taybah gathered at the entrances of the towns and insisted on crossing Lebanese army checkpoints to return to their homes.
The Israeli army then opened fire on them, resulting in several injuries."
An Israeli procession threw several bombs near a gathering of the people of Mays al-Jabal and fired shots to intimidate them, while the Israeli army arrested two young men from the town of Houla.
The source added that the Israeli army erected dirt barriers in the Wadi al-Hajir area to prevent residents from entering their villages.
Since the early hours of the morning, as the ceasefire deadline ended, gatherings of residents were observed at the entrances to villages and towns in the western and central sectors of the south.
Many residents reached safe neighborhoods in their southern towns, while Lebanese army units worked to assist the incoming people.
