AMMAN — A teenager has tragically lost his life in a
shooting accident in Tafileh, Jordan. The victim, a 14-year-old boy, was
accidently shot by his friend while the two were taking an afternoon stroll.
According to local news sources, the shooting took place on
Monday afternoon in the Gharndal area of the Basirah district. Security sources
have confirmed that the victim and the perpetrator were walking together when the
accident occurred.
The victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for
treatment, but he later succumbed to his injuries. The body was then
transferred to the forensic department in Karak for further examination.
Police have launched a full investigation into the incident.
The perpetrator is currently in custody, and the firearm
used in the incident has been seized for evidence.
