Orange Jordan’s “
Qaderoon” campaign to empower persons with disabilities,
produced a short video in coordination Green Banana Production Company,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The video includes persons
with disabilities who excelled in a number of fields, including Maha
Barghouthi, the first lady to obtain a gold medal in the 2000 Sydney Paralympics,
as well as the Secretary-General of the Jordan Paralympics Committee, Ashraf
Tahboub.
In a statement
issued Saturday, the telecoms company said it is continuing its support for the
success stories of persons with disabilities, and is committed to the awareness
programs which are part of the campaign in line with its social responsibility
strategy and its role as a digital supplier.
The “Qaderoon”
campaign aims to empower and support persons with disabilities through digital
inclusion, spreading awareness, and enhancing their integration through media.
The “campaign supports
the activation of the Law of Persons with Disabilities No. 20 for 2017, in
addition to implementing article 8 of the International Agreement for the
Rights of Persons with Disabilities, on implementing effective policies in the
awareness field to reflect a positive image of persons with disabilities.
