Shots fired at Al Sarih municipality building; no injuries reported

AMMAN — Four unknown assailants fired shots and attempted to start a fire on Saturday at the Al Sarih municipality building, according to the head of the Al-Sarih district council, Muhammad Al-Shayyab. اضافة اعلان

The shots were fired at parts of the municipality building and several windows, but that no one was wounded, he said. He noted that the council guard was present during the incident, and tried to stop the attack.

The reason for the attack is still unclear, Shayyab said.

Security forces and those present were notified immediately, and an extensive investigation was launched to determine the reasons for the attack, and the motive of the assailants.

Security forces are also working to reveal the identity of the attackers, and to bring them to justice.
