The drivers said that the protest will
continue as long as the Ministry of Transport refuses to take action, heed
their demands and respond to their complaints.
According to drivers, the
government has
significantly raised the prices of oil derivatives without compensating shuttle
taxis and other cabs, which led to heavy losses and the drivers’ inability to
provide for their families even after a full day of work.
