AMMAN — Six planes carrying Italian, German, Polish,
Greek, and Czech tourists are set to arrive in Jordan on Monday, according to
Director-General of the
Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat.

The flights are being operated by low-cost carriers, which are part of a recent
government plan to attract 4.5 million tourists by 2023, according to the
Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Arabiyat added that the Board, in cooperation with the ministry, is working to
prop up tourists numbers after COVID-19 hit the sector.
