The Jordanian Social Security Corporation announced the allocation of 679 total or partial permanent disability pensions in 2024, bringing the cumulative number of natural disability pensions to 28,215 as of December 31, 2024.
اضافة اعلانThe Corporation explained in a press release issued by its media center that the eligibility conditions for receiving a permanent disability pension due to total or partial natural disability include the termination of the insured person's service for any reason, submitting a pension application within six months of service termination, having at least 60 actual subscription months (including 24 continuous months), and proving the disability through a decision from the corporation’s medical reference.
The Social Security Law allows private sector employees to apply for a medical examination while still employed to determine if they meet the criteria for total natural permanent disability. This can be done twice during the period of their coverage under the law. For public sector employees, the medical reference for determining eligibility for a disability pension is the authority responsible for issuing their service termination recommendation.
