Some 700,000 citizens to receive water services in housing projects-Ministry
Amman -  The government released the amended instructions for subscription procedures to receive drinking water services, which were published in the Official Gazette.اضافة اعلان

Under the amended instructions, water services are delivered to existing housing projects, which should obtain approval of the Higher Regulatory Council ahead of endorsing these new guidelines.

The government's decision came after "numerous" demands from citizens who benefit from cooperative, investment or governmental real estate development projects and beneficiaries of housing associations for official, or public bodies, or unions.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation Thursday, the government aims by releasing these amendments to facilitate and serve approximately 700,000 citizens, who benefit from housing projects established within these projects.

The ministry said the new amendments were issued after a study by the government to ease the burden on citizens, who benefit from these projects and provide water services.

The ministry added that Jordan Water Authority or its owned companies will build water conveyance infrastructure to serve the properties within these projects at their own expense.

Water is not pumped to these housing units until at least 10% of the project buildings are occupied, the statement pointed out.
