A military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that the Southern Military Zone, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, managed on Monday evening to foil an attempt to smuggle narcotic materials using a drone along its western border, within its area of responsibility.

The source added that the border guard forces in the Southern Military Zone applied the rules of engagement after detecting and tracking the drone. They dealt with it and brought the drone down inside Jordanian territory, transferring the seized materials to the relevant authorities.
The source emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces are working with strength and determination to prevent these narcotic materials from reaching the citizens and affecting national security.
