Amman - The Southern Military Zone intercepted a drone attempting to smuggle materials across the border in the early hours of Sunday, according to an official statement.

The incident occurred within the Zone's western front, where Border Guard Forces detected and tracked the unmanned aerial vehicle. The forces engaged according to established rules of engagement, successfully downing the drone within Jordanian territory. The intercepted materials were subsequently transferred to the competent authorities for investigation.
A military source highlighted the army's unwavering commitment to safeguarding Jordan's borders. "The Jordan Armed Forces continue to deploy their full capabilities to prevent all forms of infiltration and smuggling, ensuring the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom," the source affirmed.
