Mujahed contended Monday that sky watchers can observe the Perseids without
having to use telescopes or any special equipment, as the meteors will resemble
firecrackers in the sky, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.
He added that the showers can be best observed in dark areas, such as
Wadi Rum, where they are expected to appear significantly brighter.
Some tourist agencies will be organizing space
camps in Wadi Rum to observe this special event, according to Mujahed.
