AMMAN —
Twenty-seven researchers from the University of Jordan (JU) were picked by
Stanford University to be on its World Top 2% Scientists List, a compilation of
the world’s most cited researchers, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

There are 200,409
global scientists on this year’s list.
JU President
Nathir Obeidat congratulated the researchers and underlined the university’s
strong commitment to scientific research as a means of furthering its mission
to advance knowledge and better serve the local and Arab communities.
Last weekend, 11
faculty members from Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) were selected to the
same list as the top 2 percent of the most influential and cited researchers
worldwide, Khaberni reported.
It said the selection was
reported in the updated database of researchers for quotation indicators
prepared by Stanford University and the Global Publishing House for the year
2022.
