This initiative is part of the committee's larger project,
which is carried out in collaboration with the
Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) and receives support from the
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, Ali Badaina, the
JOHUD committee coordinator and director in Tafilah, expressed that this
initiative coincided with the start of the
new academic year. Its primary aim
is to assist Syrian students in meeting their
stationery requirements and to
inspire them to embrace the upcoming academic year with enthusiasm.
Badaina emphasized that the initiative's purpose is to
motivate students across various educational levels to enthusiastically embark
on their
educational journeys by addressing their stationery needs. This
initiative is particularly significant given the challenging economic
circumstances faced by many of these students' families.
He further noted that this effort would ease the
financial burdens on disadvantaged families who struggle to provide
essential school supplies. Additionally, it aims to integrate children into the cultural,
artistic, and recreational activities organized by JOHUD in Tafilah.
