AMMAN — Former minister of health
Saad Al-Kharabsheh, in response to Pfizer’s advertising for a fourth dose of
vaccine, said that many poor have not vaccinated all their citizens with the
two main doses, while many others, including Jordan, provided the third dose to
a limited number of the population, according to Khaberni.

Kharabsheh said that it is still early for the
fourth dose and that the course of the global pandemic should dictate whether
to take it or not.
Pfizer Chief Executive Officer
Albert Bourla had
said that most people will need a fourth dose of the vaccine to protect them
from infection. While presently three doses are sufficient, they do not last
long and do not protect against hospitalization, he said, adding that Pfizer is
working these days, along with other companies, to develop a vaccine that
protects against mutants and whose effectiveness lasts at least a year.
