Survey saying 90% Jordanians are unaware of EMV is ‘illogical’ — minister

AMMAN — Deputy prime minister, and minister for Economic Affairs and State for Public Sector Renewal, Nasser Al-Shraideh, considered the opinion poll conducted by the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan on Tuesday, which indicated that 90 percent of Jordanians are unaware of the Economic Modernization Vision (EMV), as "illogical”, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

Shraideh explained that the poll is “illogical” because the economic modernization vision has been discussed on multiple occasions, including in the roadmap for public sector renewal.

Abundant review of the visionHe added, "I believe that today, at all levels, His Majesty, HRH Crown Prince Hussein, the government team, and the Prime Minister, (and at) every occasion, review the visions of reform in its three political, economic, and administrative tracks with high transparency."

However, he said, "We need to make more efforts to deliver accurate information to citizens, and transparency with citizens has been a main characteristic of our government, and we will continue in this direction."

Earlier this month, a poll conducted by the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan revealed that the vast majority of Jordanians, 90 percent are unaware of the public sector renewal plan (the roadmap for public sector development) or the EMV of the Kingdom emerging from the outputs of the National Economic Workshop.
