Suspect arrested after shootout with police

 AMMAN —  An armed suspect was arrested Sunday following a shootout with police in Mafraq, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

In a statement, the police spokesperson said that the arrested individual allegedly had a record of attempted murder, drug trafficking, and intimidation.

The suspect was injured during the raid and was transferred to the hospital, he said.

During the raid, police also seized a firearm and various narcotics, the spokesperson concluded.
