Syria’s Foreign Ministry expressed support for Jordan’s
sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity and expressed affirmed its
support for the Palestinian people and their right to independence in a tweet
on Wednesday.

The tweet read: “Syria reaffirms its support for the Palestinian
people to obtain all their rights, including the establishment of their
independent state with Jerusalem as its capital,”
emphasizing the importance of Palestine’s independence. The statement also underscored Syria’s commitment to
supporting Jordan’s territorial integrity, which is critical for regional
stability.
‘Repeated racist statements’ by IsraelAccording to the Syrian News Agency, Sana, the Syrian Foreign
Ministry also addressed recent comments from Bezalel Smotrich, the Israel’s
Finance Minister, who denied the existence of the Palestinian people.
Smotrich also presented a map that included Palestine and Jordan, prompting widespread
condemnation from Palestinians, Jordanians, Arabs, and the international
community.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry stated: “Syria is not surprised by the
repeated racist statements of officials of the Israeli occupation entity, as
they are a clear expression of the reality of this entity, the extent of its
aggressiveness and expansionist ambitions in the countries of the region, and
the extent of its disregard for the most basic rules of international law and
relevant UN resolutions.”
