Minister of Agriculture Khaled Al-Hnaifat inaugurated the Abu Khashaba Wadi Dam in Tafila Governorate on
Monday, Khaberni reported.

It said the dam, with a cost of JD85,000, has a
capacity of 100,000 cubic meters.
Hanaifat said while touring the Wadi Ibn Hammad area
ahead of inaugurating the dam that the ministry will float 60 bids for
excavations and dams as well as 5,000 collecting wells nationwide.
Hanaifat pointed out that there is a plan to support
farmers, especially owners of field crops.
He said that 6 dams and water pits will be
constructed in Tafila Governorate.
The minister said that olive production will rise in the
northern and central regions of Jordan.
