birds on Tuesday, according to Khaberni.

The project
includes a package of initiatives and activities such as bird watering,
rainwater harvesting, creating feeding platforms, conducting awareness-raising
campaigns on endangered birds, and contributing to bird breeding.
Association President Ahmad Al-Saoud said that the
association, founded last year, began its environmental projects with the
launch of a wild bird watering initiative for migratory flocks crossing the
skies of Tafileh. The association built 1,500 drinking stops to receive wild
birds such as chukar partridges and wild pigeons.
The new project aims to spread a culture of care for
wild and migratory birds, encourage the preservation of the environment, and
reduce over-hunting, he added.
Project Coordinator Ali Al-Marayat noted that the
project includes a phased package for providing grain and water to wild birds
in several locations. This is especially important given low rates of rainfall
and a lack of feeding stations and water springs in the plains, mountains, and
valleys of Tafileh that receive bird migrations.
With the aim of conserving endangered birds, a list
of species in the project areas has been established, he said, inviting
relevant stakeholders to contribute to supporting the project.
