AMMAN — The Jordanian film “Daughters of Abd al-Rahman,”
which delves into a strained relationship between four sisters, was screened
for two days at Taj Cinemas as part of the Amman International Film Festival,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The film showcases
four conflicting sisters who must put aside their differences and band together
to solve the mystery surrounding their father’s disappearance.
Daughters of Abd
al-Rahman, directed and written by Zaid Abu Hamdan and produced and starred by
Saba Mubarak, won the Audience Award following its world premiere at the Cairo
International Film Festival in November 2021.
The dark comedy was
shot in an eastern Amman neighborhood. In addition to Mubarak, Farah Bsaiso,
Hanan Hillo, Yasmina el-Abd, Khalid Tariffi and Waleed Jizawi are starring.
