Meanwhile, the
Public Security Directorate (PSD) said on Wednesday that it had put in place a plan to deal with any unlawful
behavior that may accompany celebrations following the release of
Tawjihi results, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
In particular, the directorate issued a warning
against engaging in traffic infractions like unlawful motorcades, hanging out
of car windows and sunroofs, and reckless driving, as well as against resorting
to the so-called “festive fire”.
The PSD pledged stricter control over celebratory gunfire
and stated that anyone engaging in such conduct will be arrested, calling for
celebrations to be conducted in a civilized manner and avoiding any behavior
that endangers lives or impedes the flow of traffic on the streets.
