AMMAN — On Wednesday, the
General Security Directorate (GSD)
is putting in place necessary measures to prevent any negative incidents during
the announcement of the results of the
General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (
Tawjihi). This initiative aims to ensure societal security and
safeguard lives and properties, as stated by Colonel Mahmoud Al-Shayab, the
Director of Media and Community Police at the GSD

The set of measures to be implemented by GSD includes the
field deployment of field and operational units dressed in both civilian and
military attire, Al-Mamlaka TV reported. In addition to this, human monitoring
will be employed alongside mechanized surveillance through mobile or stationary
cameras, as well as the utilization of drones.
Meanwhile, Attorney General Youssef Dhiabat has issued orders
to address the issue of celebratory gunfire following the results of the
General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (
Tawjihi). The Attorney
General's office emphasizes that individuals engaging in indiscriminate firing
of gunshots that endanger lives or cause harm will face pursuit and
disciplinary action. This includes strict measures against
unauthorized firearm
possession and discharge of firearms.

reports, photos, and videos pertaining to cases of gunfire and processions
