Nawaf Al-Ajarmeh, a secretary-general for Educational
Affairs at the Ministry of Education, announced that teaches should attend to
public schools across the Kingdom on August 21, which is four days than
previously scheduled.
Classes will resume on August 31, when students will be
back to school, Ajarmeh added, announcing the ministry’s calendar for the
scholastic year 2022–2023.
But Khaberni reported that some teachers said in voice messages that the sudden change
scrambled their summer plans, as the teachers are abroad and not due back in
Jordan before August 24. They said that changing their return airplane bookings
will cost them hefty penalties.
