AMMAN — A slight rise in temperatures is expected on
Thursday, with temperatures 3 to 4°C above the seasonal average, the Jordan
Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
It will be relatively hot in the highlands and
the plains, and Amman is expected to see a high of 34°C in during the daytime.
In the late afternoon and evening hours, cooler weather is forecast as mercury
levels are expected to slide to around 24°C, according to the Jordan News
Agency, Petra.
The Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and gulf city of Aqaba are set to see scorching temperatures
expected to surpass 40°C, the JMD said, warning the public against the direct
exposure to sunlight.
