Amman - Temperatures are forecast to drop slightly on Thursday, returning to their seasonal norms for this time of year.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), relatively cold weather will prevail across most parts of the Kingdom, while conditions will remain mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate to high-altitude clouds are expected to cover the skies, accompanied by northwesterly winds that may become active at times.

The JMD report indicates that another slight decrease in temperatures is expected on Friday. The weather will be relatively cold and partly cloudy to cloudy. In the morning, there is a slight chance of light, scattered rainfall over limited areas in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom, lasting for a short duration. Northwesterly moderate winds will continue, occasionally intensifying.
During the night, temperatures are predicted to drop significantly, with cold and partly cloudy conditions prevailing. In the evening, there is a possibility of light, scattered showers over limited areas in the southwestern parts of the Kingdom for a brief period. Winds will remain moderate and northwesterly.
The report adds that the weather on Saturday and Sunday will remain relatively cold in most regions, with low-altitude clouds appearing. Winds are expected to shift to moderate northeasterlies.
Maximum and minimum temperatures for today are forecast as follows: East Amman: 16 C / 9 C, West Amman: 14 C / 7 C, Northern Highlands: 13 C / 7 C, Sharah Highlands: 15 C / 6 C, Dead Sea: 23 C / 11 C, and Gulf of Aqaba: 24 C / 12 C.
