AMMAN — Sunday temperatures are expected to climb
slightly, leaving the highlands, plains, Badia, the Jordan Valley, and most
other areas relatively warm, according to the Jordan
Meteorological Department
(JMD).

In its daily report, the JMD warned of direct
exposure to sunlight around noon,
and of poor visibility in the Badia due to dust.
On Monday, a further rise in mercury is predicted, leaving Jordan 2 to 3°C
above its annual average, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Sunday will range
between 31 and 34°C, dropping to 23 or 18°C in the southern highlands, the JMD
added. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping
to 42°C and sliding to 28°C.
