Amman - The Secretary-General of the Arab Universities Union, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, stated that the report issued by the Arab Labor Organization showed that the unemployment rate among Arab youth has reached 25%, which requires the development of technical and vocational education to become a key tool for empowering youth and employing them in vital sectors.

Salama added during his participation in the International Exhibition and Forum for Technical and Technological Education, "EduTech Egypt 2025," that many Arab countries such as Jordan, the UAE, and Morocco are witnessing significant progress in adopting advanced educational programs based on technology and digitalization.
In a press statement issued today by the Arab Universities Union, he mentioned that the perspective toward technical education has changed, especially after the significant strides made in this field. He emphasized that technical education has become one of the top priorities for countries due to its substantial value in various fields.
He pointed out that the rapid transformations in the technical and economic fields worldwide push us to reconsider educational models, especially in technical and vocational education.
He clarified that the Arab Universities Union plays a strategic role in this area by supporting regional companies, developing joint programs, enabling digital transformation, and building regional employment networks.
