Amman – The Director General of the Jordanian Standards and Metrology Organization, Engineer Abeer Al-Zuhair, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting national products and industries by enhancing quality, which in turn boosts competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.

During her speech at the presentation of the Jordanian Quality Mark and Halal certification to several companies, Al-Zuhair noted that obtaining these certifications demonstrates the Jordanian private sector's dedication to excellence and development in production and services, as well as maintaining the reputation of Jordanian products.
This is in line with the country’s economic modernization vision, which focuses on developing high-value industries and positioning Jordan as a regional hub for such industries.
Al-Zuhair also highlighted the important role of the partnership between the public and private sectors in serving the national economy. She pointed to the organization’s efforts in expanding mutual recognition of conformity certificates and encouraging the participation of the private sector in the organization's technical committees.
Representatives of the companies that received the certifications praised the organization’s role in opening markets for Jordanian products, its collaborative approach, and its commitment to staying up-to-date with scientific advancements in all fields.
