His Majesty King Abdullah II will meet with Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara, who is visiting Jordan today, Wednesday.

On December 23, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, visited Damascus and confirmed after meeting with President Ahmad al-Shara that Jordan is ready to assist in the reconstruction of Syria. Safadi emphasized at the time that "the security and stability of Syria is the security and stability of Jordan. We are ready to provide everything we can to Syria."

He added, "It is our duty to help the new administration in Syria face the challenges of the transitional phase."

On January 7, 2025, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, along with Syrian Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Qusra and Head of General Intelligence, Anas Khattab, visited Jordan.

Mekdad expressed during the visit, "We thank Jordan for hosting Syrian refugees and are keen on maintaining special relations between the two countries," adding, "We confirm our determination to strengthen relations with Jordan at all political, security, and economic levels."
