Amman – Minister of Finance Dr. Abdel Hakim Al-Shibli received Dr. Jihad Azour, Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), in the presence of Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan and Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan Dr. Adel Al-Sharkas.

During the meeting, held on Monday at the Ministry of Finance headquarters, the latest economic developments in the Kingdom and the region were discussed, along with the key economic reforms recently implemented by Jordan under the national financial and economic reform program.
These reforms have enhanced the national economy’s resilience in facing ongoing regional challenges.
Azour praised the robust performance of Jordan's national economy and public finances despite the difficult circumstances in the region.
He emphasized the importance of continuing structural national reforms that support investment and economic growth.
This meeting is part of Azour's visit to the Kingdom, which includes several meetings with various ministers and officials.
