The Jordan national football team, known as the "Nashama," is looking for nothing but a win when they host their Palestinian counterparts tonight at 9:15 PM at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman, as part of the seventh round of the AFC Asian Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.اضافة اعلان

The Nashama had previously won against Palestine in the first leg, which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a 3-1 victory. Today, they hope to repeat that win, as securing all three points is crucial to enhancing their chances of competing for one of the World Cup qualification spots.

The Nashama currently sit in third place in Group B with 9 points, trailing behind South Korea (14 points) and Iraq (11 points). Oman holds the fourth spot with 6 points, followed by Kuwait with 4, and Palestine in last place with 3 points.

**The Nashama's Ambition for Victory**

The Nashama are motivated by the home advantage and the support of their fans, so they are expected to have the upper hand. However, they will not underestimate their Palestinian opponents, who boast a talented lineup, including players such as Aadi Al-Dabbagh and Wissam Abu Ali.

The Nashama will likely focus on an early attacking pressure on the Palestinian goal to secure a win and strengthen their chance of taking all three points. Coach Jamal Salami is expected to field Musa Al-Tamari, Mahmoud Marzouqi, Mohannad Sumerin, and Yazan Al-Naimat as key offensive players, with support from Rajai Ayed, Nizar Rashedan, and Ihsan Haddad.

In a press conference held yesterday, Jamal Salami emphasized the importance of securing the three points, especially since this match is just days before their upcoming game against South Korea.

The Nashama squad is nearly complete for tonight’s match, with the exception of Ali Alwan and Nour Al-Ruwadba, who are sidelined due to injuries.

On the other hand, Palestine will not be an easy opponent, as they are also competing for a spot in the playoff round. Thus, they will be aiming for a positive result, with a draw being their minimum target.

The Jordanian team is aware that any slip-up against Palestine, whether through a draw or a loss, would severely damage their chances of qualification, especially since they will travel directly to South Korea for their next match on the 25th of this month.

**Clear Jordanian Supremacy**

The two teams have met in several friendly and international tournaments, with Jordan consistently having the upper hand.

This is the first time that Jordan and Palestine have faced off in the World Cup qualifiers, having previously met in the first leg in Kuala Lumpur, and today will be the return leg.

The two teams have played 16 times, with Jordan winning 9 of those matches, drawing 6, and Palestine winning just one.
