During a meeting of the committee on Monday with a German student delegation from the "Konrad Adenauer Foundation – Jordan Office," Al-Harashsha pointed to His Majesty King Abdullah II's attention to the issues of persons with disabilities, which was demonstrated by his participation in the Berlin Disability Summit. He confirmed that this issue holds high priority at the national level.

Al-Harashsha also praised the continuous German support for Jordan, especially in the fields of development and services, and noted that the Kingdom continues to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza through various means.

He reiterated Jordan's firm position, expressed by the leadership, government, and people, in rejecting the resettlement of Palestinians in Jordan, stressing that the Kingdom cannot be a substitute homeland for any party.

For their part, MPs Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, Bakr Al-Hayasa, and Atallah Al-Haniti expressed their full support for the royal positions in various internal and external forums, urging Germany to support these positions and continue to provide support to Jordan, especially given its hosting of a large number of refugees.

The MPs also praised the role of the European Union in supporting Jordan, reviewed developments in the country's party life, and its role in strengthening the democratic process. Additionally, they discussed the role of national legislation in supporting persons with disabilities, as laws mandate specific quotas for their employment in government institutions.

The MPs also presented the legislative process in the Jordanian Parliament and the tasks assigned to the Foreign Affairs Parliamentary Committee.

For their part, the members of the German student delegation expressed admiration for the Jordanian party life experience and raised a series of questions and inquiries that were addressed by the MPs during the meeting.
