Abu Rumman emphasized that building a strong and sustainable economy cannot be achieved without a qualified human capital with advanced technical skills, stressing that vocational education has become an essential part of the modern labor market, not just a secondary path.

He explained that the current phase requires a shift in educational and training policies to align with the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, artificial intelligence, and the digital economy to ensure the sustainability of economic development and increase productivity.

He stressed the need for the economy to respond to the challenges of unemployment and the mismatch between educational outcomes and the labor market, confirming that the solution lies in restructuring the vocational and technical education and training sector to make it more flexible and responsive to economic changes.

The attending MPs highlighted the role of training institutions in reducing youth unemployment and the necessity of a partnership between the government and the private sector to employ young people, pointing out the importance of providing support to training and vocational institutions that face many challenges.

For his part, Al-Bakkar confirmed that the Ministry is working in continuous coordination with various concerned bodies to create job opportunities and prepare an environment conducive to employment by developing policies that ensure alignment between labor market needs and youth skills, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation with the private sector as a key partner in strengthening the national economy.

Zaher Al-Saraireh, Head of the Higher Education Accreditation Commission and Quality Assurance, stressed the importance of setting unified training standards that keep pace with the latest developments in the labor market.

He pointed out that many universities have started offering specialized technical training programs, focusing on providing employment opportunities for graduates, with some institutions exceeding a 90% employment rate.

He also highlighted the importance of localizing global trends in technical education through signing agreements with international institutions and developing technical colleges within universities to offer training programs that align with labor market requirements.

Meanwhile, Ashraf Al-Alimait, a representative of the National Employment and Training Company, highlighted the company's role in qualifying youth with the necessary certificates and skills through accredited training programs, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with local and international training institutions to ensure quality and reliability in training.

The meeting was attended by Raghad Al-Faouri, Chairperson of the Professional and Technical Skills Development Authority, as well as representatives from ministries and institutions related to education and labor sectors, economic experts, and labor market specialists.
