The Public Services Committee in the Senate, during its meeting today, Monday, with public transport sector operators and the President and members of the Bus Owners' Syndicate, discussed efforts to improve the sector.

Dr. Mustafa Al-Hamarneh, the head of the committee, emphasized the importance of partnership and cooperation between relevant parties to confront the challenges facing the public transportation sector, aiming to establish a transportation system that drives the economic and social development of the Kingdom.
He stated that the committee is keen to listen to the sector operators' proposals and coordinate with the government to implement solutions that contribute to the development and improvement of the sector, given its impact on citizens and the national economy.
For their part, Engineer Abdul Razzak Al-Khashman, head of the Bus Owners' Syndicate, and the syndicate members presented their demands for mechanisms to integrate individuals into companies and coalitions, provide incentives and exemptions, adjust fare rates, increase the operational lifespan of transport vehicles, and activate the passenger transport support fund.
