In a
message directed to the
Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates,
the British authorities stated that the issuance of electronic visas would commence on February 22. If
Jordanian citizens wish to travel to Britain during this period, they must apply for a visa traditionally.
The
electronic travel visa will be valid for two years, as long as the passport
remains valid. If there is a change or renewal of the passport, a new visa
application must be submitted.
This
step aims to facilitate travel for citizens of both nations and encourage
tourism and investment.
It is
also worth noting that Jordan is among the first countries to benefit from the
UK’s electronic visa system.
