AMMAN — Anyone who wants it can now get it, the Ministry of Health said of
the third booster jab of the COVID-19 vaccine. Previously, it was given only to
those who were over 60, suffer chronic diseases and healthcare workers.

Dr.
Adel Al-Balbisi, secretary general of the ministry for epidemiological affairs,
said to Al Ghad that this measure aims to enhance community protection from the
deadly virus and all its variants.
He said
the third dose will be for those who have received their second dose six months
ago, and it will be without prior appointment. He said it is not mandatory.
The third
dose will be the Pfizer vaccine, and it will include citizens residing and
working abroad who had received two doses of the Sinopharma vaccine to enter
some countries.
The
ministry requires those wishing to take the third dose to bring the following identification
documents: residence permit and work contract, in addition to personal identity
card for Jordanians, and a passport for non-Jordanians, and to go to the
centers designated for this purpose.
