AMMAN — At least 131,640 Jordanians
activated their digital identification cards, using the government’s Sanad
e-service, Ad-Dustour daily reported.

Sanad allows Jordanians to use their government’s
digital services, cutting out bureaucratic procedures and time consumed in
person at various public offices.
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship
said the number of those who activated their Sanad account is 355,017.
Activating
Sanad can be done online and does not require
physical presence at its stations. But activating the digital identity requires
a Sanad verification of the applicant’s ID card at one of its stations.
