Thousands of Jordanians protest against defunding UNRWA

AMMAN — On Friday, thousands of Jordanians took to the streets of Downtown Amman, protesting against multiple countries defunding UNRWA.اضافة اعلان
Earlier this week, the US, Britain, Germany, and Japan were among some countries that suspended their UNRWA funding after Israel accused some of its employees of being involved with Hamas in Operation Al-Aqsa flood on October 7, 2023.
Nearly two million people in Gaza, mostly women and children, depend on UNRWA to stay alive, where the agency manages crowded shelters, food aid, and primary health care.
Heavy rain showers and bad weather did not stop the Jordanian population from showing their steadfast support for Palestinians.
