AMMAN — Head of the Public Security Directorate’s Cybercrime Unit Abdelhadi Al-Tahat has said that Jordan’s
TikTok ban will not be lifted unless the platform adheres to the Kingdom’s laws and content standards, Ammon News reported.

In a recent interview with MBC, Tahat reiterated previous statements to the effect that the platform had been suspended due to legal violations and misuse, as well as posts that incite hatred and acts of violence.
The
Cybercrime Unit, he said, is monitoring and following up on those posts.
TikTok had issued a statement on Monday saying that it held talks with the Jordanian authorities in hopes of lifting the
ban, which has been in place since December 16.
According to the statement, 310,724 videos had been deleted from various Jordanian TikTok accounts.
