Tkiyet Um Ali commenced the local sacrifices right after Eid prayers on Sunday at the Amman Municipality slaughterhouses. On Monday, sacrifices were carried out in accredited slaughterhouses in Australia.
The sacrifices conducted outside Jordan weigh between 35-40 kg gross and 17-18 kg net. These will be shipped frozen to Jordan and stored in Tkiyet Um Ali’s warehouses for future distribution to needy families in Jordan and the Gaza Strip.
Samer Balqar, Director General of Tkiyet Um Ali, noted that the cost of local sacrifices, carried out in Amman's slaughterhouses, is 170 dinars and are distributed fresh during Eid Al-Adha. The cost for sacrifices performed outside Jordan is 120 dinars, which includes slaughtering, cutting, freezing, and shipping to Jordan.
Balqar expressed gratitude to all donors for their trust in Tkiyet Um Ali, which allows them to perform sacrifices on their behalf. He highlighted that donors can track the performance date of their sacrifices during Eid by entering their financial receipt number on the Tkiyet Um Ali website, www.tua.jo.
Tkiyet Um Ali provides sustainable food support to approximately 22,000 needy families living below the food poverty line across all governorates, distributing monthly food parcels containing 20 essential items sufficient to prepare three daily meals for a month.
