Tomato prices, for example, recorded a 50 percent
decrease on Monday, selling for JD0.3 per kilogram in the central market; a
kilo of potatoes was selling for JD0.5 and cucumbers for JD0.25.
The ministry said that prices are fair and that a
constant flow of quantities of vegetables will be supplied, due to the
stability of the weather conditions and to the more normal consumer demand over
the coming days.
